I stumbled upon some delicious chutney recipes that I just had to share with all my fellow foodies out there - and trust me, these are real game changers! Here are some amazing chutney recipes that will make your taste buds dance and sing.

Apfel Chutney

If you have a sweet tooth, then this Apfel Chutney will be your new go-to! You’ll need:

  • 5 apples
  • 3 onions
  • 300g sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 100ml apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 50ml water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Peel, core, and chop your apples into small pieces. Next, finely chop your onions. In a saucepan, heat up the oil and add in the onions and mustard seeds. Sauté until the onions are softened. Add in the apples and stir. Then, add in the sugar, cinnamon, chili powder, vinegar, salt, and water. Stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved and cook on low heat for an hour.   • 1kg mangoes
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 10g ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 50ml vinegar
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt

Peel and chop the mangoes into small pieces. Finely chop the onion, ginger, and garlic. In a pan, add in the chopped onion, ginger, garlic, salt, and chili powder and sauté until the onions are translucent. Add in the mangoes and stir. Add in the vinegar and sugar and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture has thickened. Once it’s cooled, it’s ready to serve!

Gemüse Chutney

If you’re looking for a more savory chutney, this recipe is perfect for you. For this recipe, you’ll need:

  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 red chili
  • 2 red peppers
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Peel and chop the carrots into small pieces. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and chili. In a pan, heat up the vegetable oil and add in the onions, garlic, and chili. Sauté until the onions are translucent. Add in the chopped carrots, red peppers, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and add some salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is well mixed and has thickened. Once it’s cooled, you can store it in a jar for up to a week.
